Ultrafast Holonomic Quantum Gates

Quantum computation based on geometric phase is generally believed to be more robust against certain errors or noises than the conventional dynamical strategy. However, gate error caused by decoherence effect inevitable, and thus faster operations are highly desired. Here, we propose a nonadiabatic holonomic quantum (NHQC) scheme with detuned interactions $\Delta$-type three-level system, which combines time-optimal control technique time-independent detuning adjustment further accelerate universal operations, {so that gate-time can greatly shortened within hardware limitation}, high-fidelity gates obtained. Meanwhile, our numerical simulations show robustness also stronger previous schemes. Finally, present an implementation of proposal superconducting circuits, decoherence-free subspace encoding, experimentally demonstrated parametrically tunable coupling technique, simplifies investigations. Therefore, protocol provides promising alternative for future fault-tolerant computation.
